Experience the Highest Antioxidant Fruit In The World!

Antioxidants are substances that neutralize free radicals, the damaging compounds produced by metabolism and exposure to toxins and radiation. Free radical damage causes most of the changes we associate with aging, and it can lead to inflammation, cardiovascular and nervous system damage, impairment of immune function, and even cancerous changes in cells.
The level of antioxidant activity in a food or supplement is measured by its ORAC score. The higher the ORAC score, the more potent the antioxidant activity. The following graph shows the extraordinary antioxidant strength of the Maqui berry compared to other superfruits.

The Health Advisory Board consists of Medical Doctors and research scientists around the globe with the highest credentials in their fields of expertise. Velocity International Marketing provides the very best and highest quality products available in the market today.
Roy F. Brabham, MD – Chairman, Health Advisory Board

Dr. Brabham attended Rice University from 1968 – 1971, and then left without a degree when he was accepted to medical school. He graduated from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport in 1975 and did his residency in General Surgery at University of Wisconsin Hospitals in Madison, WI, from 1975 – 1980 followed by a fellowship in General Surgery at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in Gloucester, England, from 1980 – 1981. This threw him out of phase with the calendar year for medical training in the US, so he spent 10 months doing ER work in Louisiana upon his return to the US. Dr. Brabham subsequently did a residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals from 1982 – 1984 and was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

While establishing his private practice in Baton Rouge, LA from 1984 through 2003, he helped found Eduplast, a non-profit foundation dedicated to providing resources and training in plastic surgery and other medical disciplines to underdeveloped areas of the world. In his capacity as a board member of Eduplast, Dr. Brabham has made nearly 30 working trips to Nicaragua since 1991. He has also participated in educational activities in Mexico, Honduras, Ecuador, Cuba, and Tibet.

His interest in alternative approaches to wellness stems from personal experiences with health issues in his family. Dr. Brabham's father spent his last 5 years of life as a “cardiac cripple” and his youngest brother died unexpectedly at age 45. Looking to avoid such things himself, he began to explore approaches outside traditional medicine, which didn’t have answers for his father or brother. He was amazed to discover how much was there, along with supportive research, since he had not been exposed to any of this (other than to discredit these approaches) during his extensive medical training.

A set of circumstances for the company led him to put his medical practice on hold and come to work full-time in the corporate offices in Owensboro in June of 2003. He has been working on product and literature development, and is truly enjoying everything about his work activities for the first time in years.

What is Maqui Berry?
Maqui Berry is the strongest antioxidant berry/fruit in the world. It is loaded with anthocyanins, a group of plant nutrients with potent antioxidant activities and other health-promoting benefits.

Where does the Maqui Berry Grow?
Maqui Berry grows in Patagonia, the southernmost part of South America, spanning the southern portions of Chile and Argentina. This remote area is far away from industrialized areas and associated pollution, which means that the Maqui Berry is naturally organic.

Why have we not heard much about the Maqui Berry?
Because it is native to such a remote area, the Maqui Berry has not been encountered by mainstream societies until recent times. It has been used for a while as a colorant and flavor enhancer for wines and some foods, but its health benefits are just now being appreciated.

Is Maqui Berry considered to be a Superfruit?
Superfruits are fruits and berries that have high concentrations of antioxidants and other health-promoting nutrients. Many of these come from exotic locations, where they have been in traditional use by native populations for some time. By these criteria, Maqui Berry is the king of Superfruits.

What native group has made use of the Maqui Berry?
The Mapuche Indians of the Patagonian region. This group is the only small native American tribe that has never been conquered by larger native American civilizations such as the Incas, or by European explorers and settlers. The health benefits they derive from consumption of Maqui berries for food, drink, and medicinal uses is believed to play a key role in this. The Mapuches were basically bigger, stronger, faster, smarter, and healthier than their adversaries.

What does ORAC mean?
ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. It is a measure of antioxidant activity. The higher the ORAC score for a drink, food or supplement, the more potent an antioxidant it is.

Does Maqui Berry have a high ORAC score?
Maqui Berry has the highest ORAC score of any known berry or fruit in the world. Its ORAC score is several times that of the previous champ, the acai berry.

What are the benefits that can be obtained from the Maqui Berry?
There are many. With its unsurpassed antioxidant content, the Maqui Berry supports healthy aging. It promotes healthy skin and helps protect against sun damage. It boosts strength, stamina and energy, and helps promote weight loss. It helps normalize sugar-insulin metabolism, which can be useful to diabetics and pre-diabetics. The Maqui Berry helps strengthen bones and joints. It has natural COX 2-inhibiting activity, so it helps reduce inflammation and pain, particularly associated with arthritic conditions. It promotes healthy functioning of the immune and cardiovascular systems.

What does Aloe Vera provide to Patagonian Maqui Juice?
Aloe Vera serves as an excellent carrier for the other ingredients, as it improves their absorption. It supports health and proper functioning of the digestive system, and has detoxifying properties. Aloe Vera fights off harmful bacteria and yeast. It supports cell growth and healing, promotes healthy skin, and helps reduce inflammation and pain. The Aloe Vera in Patagonian Maqui Juice is organically grown on a 5000 acre farm in Costa Rica.

What is Resveratrol?
Resveratrol is a potent antioxidant found in the skin of red grapes. It is responsible for the health benefits that can come from drinking red wine.

What are some of the health benefits of Resveratrol?
Resveratrol improves health and longevity. It promotes healthy weight management. It stimulates detoxification activity within the body. Resveratrol has significant anti-inflammatory activity. It protects the cardiovascular system through several mechanisms. It helps protect against cancer and neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.

How does the Resveratrol content of Patagonian Maqui Juice compare to that of red wine?
1 serving (1 ounce) of Patagonian Maqui Juice has as much Resveratrol on as 7 bottles, on average, of red wine. This means that it would take over 200 average bottles of red wine to supply the amount of resveratrol in 1 bottle of Patagonian Maqui Juice.

What role do Ionic Sea Minerals play in Patagonian Maqui Juice?
They are a source of trace minerals that are fully absorbed and readily available for use in the body.

What are the health benefits of trace minerals?
Trace minerals are needed for the absorption of nutrients from the digestive tract, and they are required for the movement of nutrients into, and wastes out of, cells. They help specialized nutrients exert their full effects. Trace minerals are necessary for the production of nerve impulses and muscle contractions, and they are required for maintenance of proper acid-base balance in the body. They are vital to the proper functioning of the liver and kidneys, and thus the detoxification of our bodies.
